Wow!!! There are tons of ways to use this simple technique in the classroom. It is very easy and fun to work with, but I as a teacher need to realize that there is a responsibility on the children's part of working with a camera. I need to be able to have the patience to work with them and to teach them how to use a camera the correct way and how to have fun with it as well. The digital camera can be used in many different ways. 10 different ways that I see a digital camera can be integrated in the classroom are:
1. posting student's works and allowing the parents to see what and how their child is doing.
2. upload the images taken by the students on my own personal computer for keepsakes.
3. take virtual field trips or tours of the community.
4. send pictures of the students to their family that is with them as well as far away from them.
5. use pictures they take for headers and clip art for the weekly newsletter.
6. use pictures for labels for different things around the room.
7. use their pictures for an open house slide show.
8. let the children take pictures on filed trips and display them on the bulletin board.
9. write a story book for them and use live action pictures to illustrate.
10. make picture frames for special occasions and allow the children to take pictures of the other students by using the camera correctly.

Integrating techonolgy standards with content standards
I am kind of excited about integrating technology into my classroom, but I am not so sure about the technology standards corresponding with the content standards. It sounds a little hard and a bit challenging, but I am up for the challenge. I guess by the time I am a teacher, the children will have a vast knowledge of technology, and it will be easy for them to use the technology in all of the subjects that they are learning about. My lesson plans are going to look crazy! But then again, it will be a lot of fun and, of course, a lot of hard work. Since the content standards require so many things, my lessons plans will have to include technology in pretty much every subject. My goal would be to try to get the most technology to cover the most areas in all of the subjects that are taught in my classroom.

My name is Jennie Kinzler, and I am a student at Appalachian Bible College. I am currently studying in the Elementary Education program. I would love to be able to teach back at my Christian school were I graduated from and be able to teach there for a year or two and be the volleyball coach as well. I then want to be able to go over to Thailand and start a Christian school and orphanage with my husband. Here in the states, I would like to be able to teach either first or second grade, because I firmly believe that this is the most vital and important area of each child's life, and I want to be a part of that. When I was in the second grade, I had a teacher that made school so much fun. I am so glad that she took the time to invest in my life. I think this is where I get my wanting to teach second grade from! I want to be the teacher that everyone comes to with school and home issues. I want to be totally involved with my student's lives inside and outside of the classroom. I also want to be a teacher that can control the class without being scared to enforce punishment on those who need it. I also want to be able to communicate clearly the things that need to be said during each subject. I think technology will greatly help me in the next few years as I get ready to teach, and I also think that it will be greatly use when I teach in the classroom. We can now do all sorts of things in the class, and the children can be apart of the new technology that is coming out. I also think that by using technology, I can incorporate so many things into each lesson that I teach everyday.
